The Pacific Islands Private Sector Organisation (PIPSO) will conduct a Financial Workshop (Level 2 of the PIPSO Financial Toolkit) for small to medium size businesses. The focus of the workshop is business, in particular, financial reporting. It is a prerequisite that participants possess some basic knowledge of accounting externally or have done Level 1 of PIPSO Financial Training Toolkit which includes what Assets, Liabilities and Equities are, Cash, Working Capital, the business structures and mandatory compliance regulations such as FNPF, FIRCA and others. Module 2 will be based on and/or are related to these concepts.
Modules 2 are designed to assist business people understand the basic accounting concepts, how to determine a profit, the budgeting process, internal controls which are critical to maintaining the financial health of a business, accrual reporting is discussed, financial statements and how they are presented and how to account for petty cash & accountable advance.

Participants in the workshop are requested to bring pen, paper & a basic calculator. as they will undertake learning activities and provided with hard copy activities and exercises to do, either in a group environment, individually or both.
A copy of the PowerPoint presentation will be provided either by email or copied to participant’s USB on request at the conclusion of the workshop.
Participants will receive a Certificate of Participation upon the conclusion of the workshop.
Cost: $75.00 per day per participant for the 2 days includes training materials, morning and afternoon tea & lunch.
