Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat Partners with KVAConsult to Revitalize PIPSO

Strategic initiative to strengthen Pacific private sector representation and advocacy

SUVA, FIJI – November 29, 2024 – The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat today announced a partnership with KVAConsult Ltd to revitalize the Pacific Islands Private Sector Organisation (PIPSO), strengthening private sector engagement across the Pacific region.

The three-month initiative will re-establish PIPSO as the premier voice for Pacific private sector interests through organizational restructuring and enhanced stakeholder engagement.

“This revitalization represents a pivotal moment for PIPSO and Pacific private sector development,” said Baron Waqa, Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat. “We are positioning PIPSO to better serve its members and amplify private sector voices in regional dialogue.”

Key initiatives include:

• Updated membership database and renewed member communications
• Modernized financial systems and governance support
• Revamped website and social media presence
• Strengthened regional partnerships and business networks
• Development of a Pacific-Korea business network

Led by KVAConsult’s team, the project aims to enhance PIPSO’s capacity to promote Pacific businesses and strengthen private sector representation in regional policy discussions. All initiatives are scheduled for completion by December 31, 2024.
